FreeToolWish started from a simple frustration: too many so-called "free" sites that quietly add watermarks, cap file sizes, or funnel you into a paid tier the moment you need something basic. We wanted the opposite — honest tools that do one job well.
We built the first utilities for ourselves and friends: PDF tweaks, image resizing, and small converters that removed the need to install heavy desktop software. When those tools helped more people than we expected, we committed to growing the collection properly.
Today we still ship with the same rule: if we would not recommend a tool to a family member, it does not belong on the homepage. That keeps us focused on clarity, speed, and fair limits.
We are not finished. The roadmap ahead includes more formats, smarter defaults, and accessibility improvements — always with the same foundation: free access for the workflows people rely on every day.
