Attendance Calculator: The Complete Guide
Track your attendance and stay above the line. Enter the classes you've attended, the total held, and your required percentage to see your current attendance and how many classes you can safely miss — or must attend — to meet it.
Who the Attendance Calculator is for
Students who must keep attendance above a threshold (often 75%) and want to know their margin.
How to use the Attendance Calculator
- Type your values into the fields above — pick your currency or units where the calculator offers them.
- Results update automatically as you type; there's no submit button and nothing is sent to a server.
- Adjust any input to compare scenarios, then copy the result with a single click.
How it works
Attendance % = classes attended ÷ total classes × 100. To stay at or above the target, the most classes you can miss is attended ÷ target − total; if you're below, attend ⌈(target × total − attended) ÷ (1 − target)⌉ in a row to recover.
Features
- Current attendance %
- Classes you can skip
- Catch-up classes needed
- Custom threshold
Staying above the attendance line
Many institutions require a minimum attendance — often 75% — to sit exams. Knowing your current percentage and your margin lets you plan: how many more classes you can miss while staying eligible, or how many you must attend in a row to climb back above the line.
