Don't forget the waste
Dividing the floor area by the tile area gives the bare minimum, but real jobs need extra for cuts at edges, breakages, and future repairs. A 10% allowance is typical for straight layouts, and 15–20% for diagonal or patterned designs. Buying from one batch keeps colour consistent.
