Calculate a grade where components count differently. Enter each item's score and weight, one per line, to get your weighted average — ideal for courses split into homework, quizzes, tests, and a final.
Who the Weighted Grade Calculator is for
Students computing a course grade where different components carry different weights.
How to use the Weighted Grade Calculator
- Type your values into the fields above — pick your currency or units where the calculator offers them.
- Results update automatically as you type; there's no submit button and nothing is sent to a server.
- Adjust any input to compare scenarios, then copy the result with a single click.
How it works
Weighted grade = Σ(score × weight) ÷ Σ(weight). Weights don't need to add to 100 — they're normalised automatically.

Why weighting matters
Most courses don't weight everything equally — a final exam might count for 40% while homework counts for 10%. A weighted average multiplies each score by its weight, sums them, and divides by the total weight, so heavily-weighted components move your grade more. This calculator normalises the weights for you.
